UPDATE: There is one ticket available to dinner in the vineyard. Please email alessandra@gatheringgroundwi.org to purchase it.
Gathering Ground announces its 4th annual Dinner in the Vineyard on Friday, July 21, beginning at 4 P.M. This year the event features Chicago-based Southernish, owned and operated by partners Chef Joseph Rousey and Linsey Sowa. They love to blend seasonal ingredients with a southern inspired twist. Southernish is a “service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business” by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. After his military service, Chef Joe found his calling as a chef as a new way to be of service to others.
Dinner in the Vineyard includes cider offerings from Island Orchard Cider, owned and operated by Yannique and Bob Purman, Kyle Ransom of Island Edibles, and seasonal produce from local farms, and more. The event, which also has a silent auction and wine pull, raises funds to support the activities of Gathering Ground. These activities include a community garden, fruit and nut orchards, workshops, and a summer internship program for young adults. Established in 2017, Ground Ground is a Washington Island nonprofit committed to connecting people more deeply with our beautiful and generous earth through agriculture and the food we eat.
Tickets are $150 per person and can be purchased online or at the Washington Island Farmers Market.
